Didier van de Velde
Directeur / Adviseur "Denken, Doen en Laten"I have been managing director of inno-V since 2011. I am an expert in success and failure factors in the organisation of public transport and rail. In recent years, I have advised local, national and international governments on market forces in public transport. I do this at strategic level, but I also help our clients with the actual implementation of market forces.
I have a broad international network in both science and practice, frequently speak at conferences and regularly publish articles, because in addition to inno-V I am also attached to TU Delft (Faculty of Technology, Governance and Management). There, I also lecture on the governance of urban and regional transport, and of the rail sector.
My favourite public transport connections are the railway lines on Kyushu, for example the Limited Express from Hakata to Nagasaki, or the old line from Hitoyoshi to Yoshimatsu. Now I love Japanese railways anyway because they are a model of efficiency and customer focus.
