International inspiration for an improvement of the customer interface

The new organisation “DOT” wants to make it easier to be a public transport customer in the Copenhagen and Zealand Region (Denmark). The intention of the local actors, pressed by a recent legislative change, is to improve the cooperation between the various providers of public transport services in the region. Within that context, Movia asked inno-V to produce a report that could provide further inspiration to the stakeholders.

The resulting report starts by providing an analysis of the current situation in terms of public transport governance. It then discusses various options of public transport integration and branding, and the link with governance requirements. Various European examples of good practices are included to illustrate these options. Comments on the road to more integration are given, based on concrete cases. The report concludes with comments on the current situation and with suggestions for further developments and improvements to the current governance.
