Study trip to the Netherlands by delegation of Norwegian transport ministry

A delegation of the Norwegian ministry of transport visited the Netherlands to gain knowledge about the Dutch experiences with binding policy agreements between the state and the regional or local level, and on the funding challenges and solutions in this context. The delegation wanted to learn from the Dutch experience on how the Norwegian state could ensure that the expected large increases in money transfers to the regional and local level would be used appropriately and provide the desired effect towards a reduction in private car use and an increased market share for public transport, cycling and walking.

inno-V organized a two day visit for the delegation, with both field trips and lectures from Dutch policy makers. This covered the national transport policy in the Netherlands and the regional implementations in the fields of regional public transport, station development and chain mobility.
